    OVERVIEW

The PF30 standard is widely used. To make it compatible with Shimano and other 24mm diameter thru-axle cranks, as well as improve the system, select this bottom bracket.

The package comes with two cups and CeramicSpeed Bearings installed. There are two options. Both Standard and Coated Bearings feature super smooth CeramicSpeed Balls and hardened-steel races. The CeramicSpeed Coated Bearings have an additional feature: a 3-micron thick metallic layer over the races. This addition makes the races smoother and harder, lowering drag and increasing life.

    In The Box

-1 bottom bracket with bearings installed.

    -2 dust covers.

    -All Round Grease.

    -Sticker sheet.

    TECH DATA

The cups have extended sleeves and join with a center section, reducing the likelihood of creaking and increasing the reliability of the system.

The CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings have only 0.3-.04 watts of frictional drag per set, an average drag reduction of 75% compared to stock bottom brackets. This is the result of great design including hardened-steel races, and CeramicSpeed Balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than the ceramic competition. They also last longer.

The CeramicSpeed Coated Bearings last even longer and feature even lower drag. Life increases by 60% and drag drops by 50% compared to our CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings.

All Round Grease is installed in the bearings. It can be replaced for lower drag Race Day Grease, or higher durability Long Life Grease, which adds a bit of drag but stays in when riding through messy conditions.

    THE COATED ADVANTAGE

     Lifetime Warranty Program

CeramicSpeed’s coated products offer the ultimate gains in performance and longevity. Our unique coating features several attributes that improve the longevity of CeramicSpeed Bearings. The increased hardness of the races, combined with the smoothness of theCeramicSpeed Balls results in virtually no wear on the bearing.

The coating is a metallic layer, which is 75% harder than the hardened steel races. The coating is applied in a very thin and even layer of 3 microns (0,003 mm) on the entire surface of the bearing race. Both the inside and the outside are treated to achieve optimal results.

Longevity testing - Tests results from Friction Facts by CeramicSpeed

Within our comprehensive R&D program, the special coating has been developed in cooperation with a European coating specialist. Applied to the bearing’s steel races, through an advanced process that ensures an even, smooth and homogeneous surface, the coating formula improves even further the high quality of CeramicSpeed Bearings.

Thanks to the coating’s high resistance to corrosion – even if the bearing is contaminated with degreaser, water or mud, the risk of bearing failure due to corrosion is negligible. We recommend choosing CeramicSpeed Coated Bearings for unmatched longevity and incredibly low friction.

    Maintenance of Coated Bearings

Coated Bearings are more resistant to lack of lubrication when it comes to wear and damage on the bearing. Nonetheless, this does not mean that the need for maintenance is eliminated. Just as we do with our standard bearings, we recommend to always lubricate the bearings with our special grease to achieve optimal performance in terms of low friction and longevity.

For all training and racing applications, we recommend the use of CeramicSpeed All-Round Grease. For the lowest friction possible, we recommend the use of our TT Grease. However, compared to the standard All-Round Grease, the TT Grease has a shortened lifetime and therefore, it requires more frequent application.

    Lifetime Warranty

Like all CeramicSpeed Bearings, our coated products are handbuilt in Denmark. Building a coated bearing adds a number of extra steps to the process. The CeramicSpeed balls and steel races are matched to the micron after which, each set of races is coated. The races are kept together in pairs through the entire process and after coating, each set needs to pass the quality control before they go into production.

CeramicSpeed Coated Bearings are available for Pulley Wheels, Bottom Brackets, Wheel Kits, the Oversized Pulley Wheel Systems and Headsets.
