YBN's 11 specialist chain is one of the lightest on the market and comes with a noble black coating therefore. For a low weight without affecting the strength of the bolts and plates of the chain are drilled hollow and milled. The service life of the chain comes firstly by the Chromium Carbide Surface Treatment Hardened into being - a process which increases the hardness of the pins by a multiple by a special surface treatment. Furthermore, the chain operates with a SLA-coating (Superior Lubricating Aid). YBN worked 2 years at the development of these Ni-PTFE Teflon coating. The chain generates less friction, quieter operation, and moves through the smooth surface less dirt on. Of course, the tabs have special machining operations to ensure a clean and fast switching operation.
